Bio

My name is Daniel J. Borello and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying Structural Engineering. Currently, I am exploring a new seismic lateral force resisting system, steel plate shear walls with coupling.

I am originally from the Chicago area, and have been attending the University of Illinois since 2003, obtaining a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a M.S. in Structural Engineering. During my graduate studies, I have been involved in many research topics and had great teaching opportunities. When I am not academically involved, I relax by Biking, Golfing, Skiing, and Programming for personal projects.
